More schools and colleges are showing interest in organic chemistry because it is fun and challenging.There are many ways to look at it. Organic chemistry can be a challenging field because there are many simple and complex elements within the field of study. When a person tries to understand the basic science concepts and equations involved with organic chemistry, they learn the importance of understanding the simpler elements within the basic elements of the entire field.The field of study is a challenging course for students but also opens up many career options. The student will learn about basic chemistry and how it relates to everyday life. They will also learn about manufacturing products and materials that will be used in everyday life. Those careers may be ex citing for some students to take a chance at but it is important to understand that not all people have the same experience with a course of study such as this.While the show 'The Organic Chemistry Tutor' attempted to get the students excited about learning organic chemistry, the students on the show did not have to worry about the grade or whether or not they would pass. The student had an assigned grade. The students were supposed to attempt to figure out the formulas and equations that Dashe used and then work the numbers and figure out what that meant.The way that Dashe presented the ideas to the students was an interesting thing to see. One idea that he used involved knowing the difference between a carbon atom and a hydrogen atom. He was able to demonstrate the difference in a great way. The student had to visualize the atoms and then figure out the formulas to make that difference.Another interesting thing to see when Dashe was in the classroom was the student's reactions whe n he talked about certain things that would help him. Some students were very nervous when they saw things that he taught but as they learned more, they were less nervous. That is an important thing to take note of.The best thing to take away from the show is that the students were shown how to approach the basic science behind chemistry as well as getting to know some of the basic elements. They were also shown how to communicate with other students. They were shown that they could actually have an impact on their education and their career by making mistakes in organic chemistry. They were shown the importance of collaboration with other students.So while Dashe gave a great presentation, it was important to also consider the overall learning experience and how different students handled themselves during the course of the program. The difference in their responses showed the importance of learning organic chemistry.
